People first. Room to create, understand and cooperate.

Loptr Lab is Dominique Devereaux’s people-over-profit, accessibility-first creative and research practice. Stories, games and creator tools share an interest in identity, consent and agency, while each project keeps its own purpose and boundaries.

This is our central directory. Start with a project that fits your interests or present capacity. Its discovery page brings together the live experience, source code, current stage and what actually connects to the Atmosphere. Questions, differing perspectives and thoughtful collaboration are welcome.

Thirty-second orientation

Early stories about power, identity, consent, and inherited responsibility developed into Urban Alien Adventures—a distributed narrative method in which advertisements and background media gradually reveal the players and the world. Those experiments informed Battle the Beast, Violet's Revenge, and the original systems design of Veiled Dominion. Loptr Lab turns that history into games, research, accessible production methods, and contributor pathways.

Development lineage

From political myth to playable system

  1. 01 · ANCESTRAL GRAMMAR

    Lady Violet & Sebastian

A conflict between rebellion and responsibility: he is free to refuse the system; she is made responsible for everyone harmed if she refuses it.

  2. 02 · DISTRIBUTED DISCOVERY

    The RIM

Genesis of Urban Alien Adventures: story appears in ads, artifacts, and background media until the audience discovers who the players are.

  3. 03 · ADAPTATION FRAMEWORK

    Urban Alien Adventures

The story-delivery method becomes an adaptation framework built around layered identities and environmental evidence.

    Adaptation · not game-rules authority

A path to The Futur

Made Sick is Dominique Devereaux’s independent expression of the spirit behind Chris Do’s 1 Billion Mission: helping people make a living doing what they love. Creators seeking business education are referred to The Futur.

Discovery architecture

  1. 1. Encounter apparently separate fragments.
  2. 2. Recognize recurring signals and identities.
  3. 3. Discover the players and their relationships.
  4. 4. Realize the surrounding media is part of the story.
  5. 5. Move from viewing to investigation and play.

John August's The Nines ↗ is identified as structural inspiration for layered identity and reality discovery—not as an affiliation or adaptation license.

Transfer boundary

Design principles and testable player experiences may move between projects. Franchise characters, protected expression, recordings, lyrics, images, and other third-party material do not. Every destination repository controls its own canon.
